Homecoming: The Path to Prosperity in a Post-Global World

A Stone Inequality Book Talk

In this Stone Inequality Book Talk on November 29, 2022, Rana Foroohar will discuss her new book, Homecoming: The Path to Prosperity in a Post-Global World, in conversation with Professor Dani Rodrik in the Malcolm Wiener Auditorium at Harvard Kennedy School. The Wiener Auditorium is located on the lower level of the Taubman Building at HKS.

Rana Foroohar is the global business columnist and associate editor for the Financial Times and the global economic analyst for CNN. Dani Rodrik is the Ford Foundation Professor of International Political Economy at the Harvard Kennedy School.

About the book: "Our neoliberal economic philosophy of prioritizing efficiency over resilience and profits over local prosperity has produced massive inequality, persistent economic insecurity, and distrust in our institutions. This philosophy, which underpinned the last half century of globalization, has run its course. ... With the pendulum of history swinging back, Homecoming explores both the challenges and the possibilities of this new era, and how it can usher in a more equitable and prosperous future."  Economist Joseph Stiglitz praised the book as "eye-opening and gripping."
