*Research interests*: Institutional causes and consequences of social inequality. Economic inequality in the European Union. Theoretical and empirical investigation of why societies have such different population health profiles, showing how institutional arrangements (welfare programs, educational expansion, labor markets, and citizenship rights) stratify health.
