MPSA Lucius Barker Award for best paper in race or ethnicity and politics

Awardee | Bernard L. Fraga (Ph.D. '13)

Bernard L. Fraga, Assistant Professor of Political Science at Indiana University-Bloomington, is the 2015 recipient of the Midwest Political Science Association's Lucius Barker Award for his paper, “Assessing the Causal Impact of Race-Based Districting on Voter Turnout.”

The Lucius Barker Award recognizes the "best paper on a topic investigating race or ethnicity and politics, and honoring the spirit and work of Professor Barker."  Fraga will be presented with his award at this year's MPSA  conference, which will be held in Chicago, April 16-19, 2015.

Fraga, a former Inequality & Social Policy doctoral fellow, earned his Ph.D. in Government & Social Policy from Harvard in 2013.
