Jessica Simes awarded SSSP paper prize in crime research

Awardee | Jessica Simes, Ph.D. candidate in Sociology

Jessica Simes's paper, "For Whom Does a Neighborhood Effect Matter? Neighborhood Trajectories of a Cohort of Released Prisoners," has been selected the 2015 winner of the Society for the Study of Social Problems graduate student paper competition in the area of crime and juvenile delinquency.  

This research used data from the Boston Reentry Study, which is an intensive longitudinal data collection of a sample of men and women transitioning from state prison in Massachusetts to communities in the Boston area.

Simes will receive the award in August at the SSSP annual conference in Chicago.
