Early Career Award for Inequality, Poverty, and Mobility

Awardee | David J. Harding (Ph.D. '05)  

David J. Harding has won the 2014 William Julius Wilson Early Career Award given by the American Sociological Association's Section on Inequality, Poverty, and Mobility. The award is conferred annually to a scholar who has made major contributions early in his or her career, having completed the degree within the past ten years.

Harding earned his Ph.D. in Sociology and Social Policy from Harvard in 2005. He is now Associate Professor of Sociology at the University of California, Berkeley.
