Matthew Desmond on "Evicted"

Evictions are troublingly common for America’s poorest families. Harvard sociologist Matthew Desmond’s new book, Evicted: Poverty and Profit in the American City, shows that evictions are a cause, not just a condition, of poverty. Matthew Desmond, John L. Loeb Associate Professor of the Social Sciences, was joined by a panel of experts that included William Julius Wilson of Harvard University, Xavier de Souza Briggs of the Ford Foundation, and Jennifer Gonnerman of The New Yorker.  Bruce Western of Harvard University moderated.
